Christmas Markets All in all

This photo was taken at the Ploemeur Christmas market in Morbihan. We see a ceramic elf that I make in my pottery workshop.

At Christmas time, magic is everywhere and in the hands of the potter that I am, too... From October onwards I think about my creations, and I let myself be carried away by my amazed child side! I never stop testing new shapes, new glazes, and frantically making all the ceramics that I dream of seeing shine in the eyes of visitors. The Christmas markets are for me the chance to offer even more original pieces, fully in the Christmas theme, right down to the little elves that I diversify from year to year.

At the Château du Ter Christmas Market in Ploemeur (Morbihan), which I have been participating in for 3 years, customers collect these elves. They always have a little something special that makes us love them. Seeing them like that, they are adorable! If you knew the time I put into enamelling... So yes, they have a price, which makes them worth the value of a unique hand-made piece. I always start my making season with them. This way I concentrate my time without pressure as I sometimes have just before the event. There... everything has to be ready! And as with every exhibition, I offer around 250 ceramics. This is why the pressure rises in the last week of November.. Cooking / glazing / firing / glazing! And finalization of the stand. To offer you the best of myself.

And of course aside from elves, I make so much other pottery! Here is an extract of my variations on the Christmas theme, unfortunately I cannot present everything to you.
